Windows vista ntfs error




















Is this a spurious message? In my Event Viewer I am getting the following message reported usually 2 times per hour: "The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable.

I would recommend powering off the TViX or using an unmount or drive disconnect option on the TViX when disconnecting the usb external drive. Also, a quick look at the one of the TViX products raised the question: Did it perform any disk tasks when you connected it?

It seems menu driven, but there may be an automatic change or formatting. Will the various OS's, especially Windows 7, recognize the drive? I think you will have to move the data off of the drive to experiment and find the disk preparation that works for all. Since you really don't need the NTFS features for your use, that may be the solution.
